“Believing that our mission of Christ-driven transformation was too important to let go, we came to this conclusion: This historic, life-changing school must and will continue.”
The truth is, some people think we have come to an impasse, that we’re up against a challenge that is insurmountable. But we believe that we’ve arrived at this place in order that we might more fully see God’s hand at work in and through Castle Hills. We view this as an incredible opportunity.
In late 2015, our sponsoring church elders announced to school leaders that they wanted to sell the entire 24-acre property where the school sits today and build the church through multiple campuses around San Antonio. As a result, the school board of trustees worked with the church elders to develop a plan for the school to lease our current facilities with the opportunity to purchase within the next three years.
A Mission Too Important To Let Go
Believing that our mission of Christ-driven transformation was too important to let go, our parents, faculty, board members, community leaders and alumni came to one conclusion: This historic, life-changing school must and will continue. That is when our vision became clear. Castle Hills School would need to become an independent, non profit, private Christian school and buy its historic property and land.
Ten point five million dollars. That’s the amount that we need to raise in order to purchase the buildings and ground where the school is currently located. It’s a major challenge, but also an incredible opportunity.
